An Astro-Vastu consultation reads two things together: your birth chart and the building you live or work in. Vastu studies the space. Jyotish studies the individual. As an Astro-Vastu consultant, Dr. Sunil Tripathi brings them into one question that neither system answers on its own: how well are the Person, Time and Space aligned?
It is for people who sense that their situation is not only about the house, and not only about the stars. A family where one member struggles in a home that suits the others. Human challenges are rarely connected to one dimension of life alone.
Why read the chart and the building together?
Two families can live in almost identical flats and experience them very differently, because their personalities, work, responsibilities and phases of life are different. A reading of the building alone misses that. A reading of the chart alone misses the rooms where those lives actually happen.
Astro-Vastu brings both into view. Jyotish offers a traditional framework for understanding the individual and the phase they are in. Vastu, practised with a designer's understanding, examines the environment in which that phase is unfolding: orientation, entrances, light, air, movement and how each zone is used.
This does not mean every life event should be blamed on a building or on planetary positions. Both systems are used as interpretative frameworks, to understand the situation more completely before anything is changed.

Where the chart meets the plan
Traditional Astro-Vastu links the directions of a building with the grahas. In a widely used convention, the Sun is associated with the east, Jupiter with the north-east, Venus with the south-east, Saturn with the west and Mercury with the north. Traditions differ on some directions, particularly for Rahu and Ketu.
This is the bridge between the two readings: when your chart emphasises a particular planet or area of life in the current phase, the corresponding zone of your home or workplace deserves a closer look.
A closer look is not an automatic correction. If the chart points to a phase that calls for focus and steady work, the question becomes practical: does the place where you actually work support focus? Is it well lit, quiet and orderly? Which way do you face? The answer may be a desk moved or a room repurposed, not a wall broken.

A Vastu recommendation that looks perfect in theory can be impossible on an actual site. Real buildings have columns, beams, plumbing shafts, electrical and HVAC services, fixed windows, building rules and budgets. With more than 15 years in interior architecture and project execution alongside 10+ years of Astro-Vastu practice, Sunil ji reads a plan both as a designer and as a Vastu practitioner.

How an Astro-Vastu consultation works

Your concern and birth details
What is troubling you or what you are planning, and the date, time and place of birth of the people concerned.

The plan and the site
A floor plan with directions marked, photographs, or a site visit (Gurgaon and Delhi, sometimes Chandigarh). Elsewhere, including abroad, the consultation is held online.

Two readings, then one
The chart and the space are studied separately first, then together: where Person, Time and Space support each other, and where they pull apart.

A prioritised, practical plan
Practical, non-structural changes come first. Structural change is suggested only when it is genuinely justified.
Remedies without fear or demolition
Not every Vastu deviation requires demolition. Not every challenging phase requires a ritual or remedy. Where the two readings do point to something worth addressing, the first answers are usually practical: functional realignment, furniture planning, movement correction, lighting, ventilation and changes in how a space is used. Traditional supportive measures, such as a mantra practice or a gemstone after a suitability check, are considered only where they genuinely fit. A good environment can support a person, but it cannot replace effort. No remedy can replace awareness and action.

What does an Astro-Vastu consultant do that a Vastu consultant does not?
A Vastu consultation studies the space. An Astro-Vastu consultant also reads the birth charts of the people using it, so recommendations reflect who lives or works there and the phase they are in, not only the building's directions.
Will I have to break walls or rebuild?
Usually not. Not every Vastu deviation requires demolition: practical, non-structural changes come first, and structural alteration is recommended only when it is genuinely justified.
Can Astro-Vastu be done for a rented flat or an office?
Yes. Homes, flats, offices, shops and factories can all be read this way. In a rented space the focus naturally stays on use, furniture, light and movement rather than construction.
Do you visit the site?
Site visits are made in Gurgaon and Delhi, and sometimes Chandigarh. For other locations in India and abroad, the consultation is held online, working from your plan.
What if I don't know my exact birth time?
The space can still be studied fully, and much of the chart can still be read. The more accurate the birth time, the more precisely the two readings can be connected.
